Local Surf Shops on board with HILIOLI

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

On Tuesday March 23rd, members of the CSU team met with local surf shops in town as well as a few Dana Point based surf clubs and organizations to present and discuss the HILIOLI campaign.  In attendance were representatives from Infinity Surf, Killer Dana, Girl in the Curl, Surfrider Foundation, Western Surfing Association and the Doheny Longboards Association.

“We invited them in to ask for help with supporting and promoting our new Crime Prevention program.  Dana Point is a very beach-oriented community and our local surf shops and clubs are highly respected.  They are a great avenue for distributing some of the items associated with our campaign to help remind people to secure their vehicles and personal belongings at all times.  The response was great and all parties involved were happy to help participate.  I couldn’t be more pleased!” said Community Services Officer Cassie Levine.
