Dana Point motorists stopping in at EZ Lube now get more than an expert oil change. They also get the chance to learn more about the “Hide It, Lock It, Or Lose It” campaign.
That’s because EZ Lube is one of the first local businesses to step up and support the campaign to reduce the frequency of vehicle thefts in the community.
“This helps the community, it saves time, and it saves us all money,” says Michael Kim, manager of the EZ Lube at 34242 Doheny Park Road. “As a long-term goal, I think this can have a very positive effect and be successful.”
Kim and his co-workers are displaying posters and distributing campaign key chains and stickers to all customers who express an interest. One customer – who had a notebook computer stolen from his car – was especially interested in learning more about the statistics on vehicle thefts in the community.
“This is a program that is very beneficial,” Kim says. “Dana Point is a small community so it’s very feasible to get everyone on board and involved.”
Businesses interested in supporting the HILIOLI campaign should contact Cassie Levine at
